Recovery is minimal. Mild swelling, redness, or bruising at injection sites may occur and typically resolve within 2 to 7 days. Most patients return to normal activities immediately.
Most patients describe the procedure as mildly uncomfortable. An anesthetic is usually applied beforehand, and many dermal fillers contain lidocaine to enhance comfort during injection.
Results are visible immediately after treatment, with optimal appearance as swelling or minor bruising diminishes over a few days.
Typically, 1-2 sessions are sufficient to achieve the desired result. Maintenance treatments are usually recommended every 6 to 12 months, depending on the product used, area treated, and individual response.
